The meetings in the Belgian capital continued with the European Commission Sport Info Day at the "Charlemagne" building. This workshop takes place within the European Commission, informing prospective participants about the Erasmus+ initiatives that will run during the year.

Olympiacos were competitive for three periods in Turkey, but lost by Orman Genclik with 83-59 completing the European journey for this year. The Reds fought for the qualification until the end of the third period but the fourth quarter was disastrous (24-6) and the Turkish team secured the qualification to the quarter-finals. Olympiacos is focusing on the Greek competitions. Gemelos was the top scorer with 15 points and Nikolopoulou added 11.

Olympiacos won Orman Genclik with 72-64 in the first game of the 16th round at the Peace and Friendship Stadium and took the first step for the qualification to the quarter-finals. The Reds were better throughout the game and go to Turkey in order to take the positive result needed. The next match is held in Ankara on 29 January. Gemelos was the top scorer with 23 points and Graves added 16.

Olympiacos has an advantage for the qualification to the quarter-finals of Challenge Cup winning 3-1 against Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. The Reds want to secure the qualification and celebrate another success as they need to win two sets. The team had a great performance and despite losing the first set, reacted and overturned the game. Anna Zivojinovic was the top scorer with 21 points, Hippe had 18 and Scott added 15.

After a comfortable victory in the first match, the women’s volleyball team dominated against Hapoel Kfar Saba (3-2), doubling the wins and celebrating the qualification to the next round. The Reds proves their superiority, played seriously from the start, won two sets comfortably and celebrated the qualification to the 8th finals where they will face the Russian team,  Yenisei Krasnoyarsk.

Olympiacos was defeated by Aluinvent DVTK (59-54) in the first match of the two teams for the Eurocup playoffs held in Hungary. After this result, the Reds want to win more than 5 points in the match that will take place in Greece on 9 January in order to qualify to the 8th finals. Gemelos was the top scorer with 19 points, Graves and Thomas added 10 ones respectively.

The men’s volleyball team was strong against Modena and lost in details (2-3) in the first match of the 16th finals of the CEV Cup. The Reds played against one of the best European team competing in the top Italian championship and proved that it’s the top team in Greece and came close to a historical victory against a team with a huge budget. Olympiacos was competitive and played high-level volleyball winning the first and the third set but lost in the tie-break in a two-and-a-half hour match. The second match is scheduled on Thursday 19 December. 

Olympiacos continues the impressive run to qualify to the Final-8 winning against Jug (6-5 for the seventh matchday of the LEN Champions League. Having the support of the fans who created a fantastic atmosphere, Thodoris Vlachos celebrated a great victory and remains at the top of the Group A. Olympiacos performed very well and took a significant step to secure the first position.
