A comfortable victory against Namur!

Having a very good defensive performance in the first half, Olympiacos won Namur with 83-55 in Belgium for the fourth Eurocup match-day. The Reds were dominant in the match having a 23-point lead in the first half and keeping it until the end. This was the third victory of the team which faces Valencia in a home match on 27 November. Thomas and Gemelos were the top scorers with 23 points and Graves added 13 ones.

An impressive start in the CEV Challenge Cup!

Olympiacos did a perfect start in the CEV Women’s Challenge Cup dominating against Porfyras with 0-3 easily in the Rentis sporting hall. Olympiacos was decisive in the beginning of the game and made the first step to qualify to the next round proving that it’s at a higher level than the opponent. Now, the team wants to secure the qualification in the second leg on Wednesday 20 November and face the Israeli one Hapoel Kfar Saba in the second round.

A 40-point victory against VBW CEKK Cegled!

In an excellent second half, Olympiacos won against VBW CEKK Cegled with 93-53 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium for the third Eurocup matchday. Although they were back in the first quarter, the “Reds’’ improved their defense and went ahead in the half-time. In the third period, Olympiacos increased the margin and celebrated an easy 40-point victory. Gemelos was the top scorer with 13 points.

An important win in the last minute!

In an amazing game, Argyropoulos scored 1:23 before the end and Olympiacos celebrated its third victory winning against Jadran with 8-7. Jokovic was the top scorer with four goals and the team had a good defensive performance. The next game is held in Hungary against Szolnoki (8/11).

A defeat against Valencia!

Olympiacos was defeated with 77-66 against Valencia in the second leg of the Eurocup. The “Reds’’ were back since the first quarter and Valencia led with 12 points in the first half. The team tried to reduce in the last quarter but couldn’t avoid the defeat. Gemelos was the top scorer with 20 points and Thomas added 16.

Doubled the victories in the LEN Champions League!

The men’s water polo team celebrated the second victory in the Champions League as they won against Sintez Kazan (10-8) at Papastrateio. The Reds doubled their victories against the tough Russians in the first European home game having the support of their fans and now, are focusing on the next match against Jadran Carine on 29 October. Olympiacos kept the control and went ahead since the start until the end and could have reached the victory easier if didn’t drop the rate of the man-ups in the second half.

A legendary qualification to the the third round!

After a thrilling game in Renni, Olympiacos celebrated an important qualification to the 3rd round of the EHF Cup, winning against Timisoara with 29-26 overturning the 31-29 defeat in Romania. The “Reds’’ played with soul and passion and although it was back in the first half, the fans encouraged them to overturn the score and qualified to the next round so as to claim the ticket for the group stage. The team needed a win with a three-goal margin and did it celebrating an important moment for the Greek handball.

The men’s water polo team started the Champions League well winning against Jadran Split with 17-8 in Croatia. At the premiere of the best water-polo club competition, the 2018 European championship and 2019 finalist proved that it will play a leading role this year as well having an outstanding performance. The “Reds’’ exploited the man-ups seven times and were excellent defensively. Olympiacos led with 5-2 in the first period and kept calm when Jadran tried to react in the second one.
