Legendary performance in Istanbul!

 The women’s basketball team succeeded to get another important victory in EuroCup. Olympiacos edged Besiktas 70-53 in an away match in Istanbul and matches Riga, which hosts in the next week (25/10) aiming at the best record in the group.

Great start in EuroCup!

An amazing start for the Women Basketball team as it beat Gorzow 69-50 in Glyfada’s sporting hall for the first day of FIBA EuroCup. The ‘’Reds’’ had a great performance in the largest part of the game. Although the best player of the team, Evina Maltsi was absent because of her injury, it kept the rhythm under control until the end without giving any chance to Gorzow to win.

Defeat in the final against Kirishi!

Olympiacos fought for another European title until the last second but finally, Kirishi won 7-6. Some wrong referee decision influenced the final score. Specifically, the Head Coach Charis Pavlides called a timeout but the referees didn’t give it in the right time so as to organize the last attack. Olympiacos finished in the second position of the Euroleague adding another European distinction in its history.

An amazing win against Sabadell!

Olympiacos did another triumph proving that it is the best European multisport club. The women’s water polo team won Sabadell 11-9 and qualified to the Euroleague final!

An amazing presence in the CEV Challenge Cup!

The impressive presence in the CEV Challenge Cup was completed with Olympiacos finishing in the second position. The ‘’Reds’’ competed for the trophy but was defeated by Bursa 3-0. This success satisfied the fans and created a legacy for the future offering important moments to the Greek sports. Olympiacos did an impressive run, won 8 games against strong opponents and qualified to the final in which fought against Bursa.

Olympiacos comes from behind to claim first round of Challenge Cup Final!

In an amazing display of top-level Volleyball, Olympiacos produced an epic comeback from a 0-2 set deficit to claim a 3-2 victory over Turkey’s Bursa in the first round of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Women Finals. Driven by 2,000 fans who kept cheering throughout the entire match, Olympiacos were able to break the resistance shown by 2015 gold medal winners BURSA BBSK. Saskia Hippe top scored with 20 points as Olympiacos produced the club’s best result in any European competition so far.

Second position in the Champions League!

Olympiacos was defeated by Jug Dubrovnik but proved that it is one of the best European teams. Jug Dubrovnik are the new reigning champions of the LEN Champions League after edging a tight final match of European club waterpolo's premier competition 6-4 against Olympiacos in the Alfréd Hajos Swimming Stadium in Budapest tonight.

Olympiacos qualified to the final!

Angelos Vlachopoulos was the hero as Olympiacos produced a stirring comeback to triumph 8-7 right at the death against a Szolnok side which had led throughout. 6-3 down at one point, a stirring second half performance from the Greeks saw Vlachopoulos almost single-handedly hauls his side back into the match as they booked a place in tomorrow’s final.

Olympiacos won the European Super Cup!

The women’s water polo team added another glorious moment in the club history. The ‘’Reds’’ won 10-6 against Padova in the Super Cup Final held in Piraeus. It was the third consecutive European title for the team of Haris Pavlides as it won the Euroleague last year and Len Trophy two years ago. 

The Olympiacos fans created an impressive atmosphere and enhance the attempt of the team to win another European title.

Olympiacos clinches trophy in front of 2000 fans!

Olympiacos won its second European title in as many years: the Greeks clinched the LEN Trophy in 2014 and now the Euro League. They edged out title-holder Sabadell in a thrilling final, becoming the second team in history whose men’s and women’s teams could win the most prestigious club tournament respectively.
