EmpowerHer project moves forward – In-person partner meeting held in Poland
Olympiacos S.F.P., as an active partner of the European project EmpowerHer, participated in the latest in-person meeting held in Poland on June 5–6, 2025. EmpowerHer, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Sport programme, aims to empower women breast cancer survivors through the power of sport and community.
Hosted by the project’s Polish partner, the meeting featured an intensive two-day agenda filled with workshops, presentations, and collaborative planning. On June 5, the Expert Workshop brought together project partners and external experts to share knowledge, highlight best practices, and reflect on insights gathered from national user panels.
Key activities included:
- Presentation of literature studies and data analysis
- Introduction and discussion of the EmpowerHer mobile app mock-up
- Sharing insights from local user panels across partner countries
- Reflecting on project objectives and drafting recommendations for the next steps
- Guided site tour and informal discussions with local collaborators
- Planning session for the upcoming expert meeting to be held on September 5–6, 2025
On June 6, the focus shifted to the project group meeting, with sessions dedicated to communication strategy (WP5) and the progress of Work Packages WP2 and WP3, which cover the implementation and evaluation of local activities and the development of project tools.
The presence of Olympiacos S.F.P. reinforced the transnational nature of the project, as the club shared its experience in supporting vulnerable communities through sport, while also reaffirming its long-standing commitment to social inclusion and community well-being.
