The women’s water polo team made an important step for the qualification to the Euroleague Final-4 winning with 10-8 against Vouliagmeni in Chalandri. The Reds got a significant advantage in the view of the rematch held in Papastrateio on Saturday 28 March. This game was different from the two ones that Olympiacos won with 13-7 and 16-8 comfortably. The game was more closed and balanced with both teams alternating scoring several times.

The qualification for the qualification to the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup was celebrated by the women’s volleyball team which won Yenisei Krasnoyarsk (3-1) in the second match held at the Rentis sporting hall. The Reds needed two sets after the victory in the first game and secured the qualification in 44 minutes. In the quarter-finals, Olympiacos will face the winner of the game “Swietelsky Bekescsaba-Calcit Volley Kamnik” with the Hungarian team leading 3-0 in the first leg.

Meetings in Brussels ended with Olympiacos being present at the European Commission sport initiatives.

The round of meetings ended with the project coordinators’ meeting to be implemented in 2020. Olympiacos as the coordinator of the “Disability Water Sports” project participated in the meeting, receiving important information on the management of actions and other participants, financial issues and submission of the final report.

The meetings in the Belgian capital continued with the European Commission Sport Info Day at the "Charlemagne" building. This workshop takes place within the European Commission, informing prospective participants about the Erasmus+ initiatives that will run during the year.

The annual General Assembly of the European Multisport Club Association (EMCA) was held in Brussels in the yesterday afternoon. An Olympiacos delegation attended the event for another year, demonstrating the club's active role in implementing multisport and social activities at European level.

Olympiacos were competitive for three periods in Turkey, but lost by Orman Genclik with 83-59 completing the European journey for this year. The Reds fought for the qualification until the end of the third period but the fourth quarter was disastrous (24-6) and the Turkish team secured the qualification to the quarter-finals. Olympiacos is focusing on the Greek competitions. Gemelos was the top scorer with 15 points and Nikolopoulou added 11.

Olympiacos delegation goes to Brussels on Tuesday in order to attend the annual General Assembly of the European Multisport Club Association Athletic (EMCA) and the European Union's Sport Info Day. This year meeting in the Belgian capital includes a series of meetings in the view of the club participation in European Erasmus + projects.

The Data Vaults kick-off meeting was held in Berlin with great success. Representatives of 17 European partners, including Olympiacos, were hosted at the Fraunhofer premises to discuss the requirements and key stages of the project.

Olympiacos won Orman Genclik with 72-64 in the first game of the 16th round at the Peace and Friendship Stadium and took the first step for the qualification to the quarter-finals. The Reds were better throughout the game and go to Turkey in order to take the positive result needed. The next match is held in Ankara on 29 January. Gemelos was the top scorer with 23 points and Graves added 16.
