Having a leading performance, Olympiacos won Targoviste in Romania and secured its qualification to the final-8 of the Challenge Cup. After defeating the first game, the ‘’Reds’’ were very concentrated and calm and proved that were fairly finalists in the competition of the last year. It overturned the situation formed by defeating 3-2 in the first match in Renti and qualified.

Olympiacos secured the qualification to the round of 8 after the victory against Lokomotiv Baku in Azerbaijan. This is the third consecutive qualification after those against Inegol and Tours. The Greek team was the dominant of the two games without losing any set. The next opponent is the Belgian Menen. The next first game will be held in Belgium on 13 February and the rematch in Piraeus on 27.

After fourteen consecutive victories in Greek and European competitions, Olympiacos was defeated by Targoviste in tiebreak. In the first game of the round of 16, the ‘’Reds’’ didn’t have their best performance. Although the Greek team was ahead with 21-16 in the second set, tied in 2-2 and controlled the fifth one in the start, the large number of mistakes led to the first defeat of the year.

The Men's water polo team continued its excellent performance in the Champions League winning Jug Dubrovnik 8-6 for the 7th game, held at Papastratio. The ‘’Legend’’ was the big winner in a strong game retaining at the top of the first group. This was the sixth victory of the team which continues to lead the 1st Group and be undefeated after the end of the first round.

Given that Olympiacos had secured the qualifiers in Europe's "8" and 1st position in the 5th group, after the two great victories against Padova and Uralochka, the current game with Messina was procedural. Olympiacos didn’t face any difficulty, won with the wide 17-3 and accompanied the qualification to "8" with the absolute of the three victories in three games.

Olympiacos was the winner of the game against Uralochka (18-13) and took the first position of the group. After an exciting game between the two teams, Olympiacos dominated and secured the qualification to the next round and the first position. Emmolo with five goals, Asimaki with four and Plevritou with 3 ones were the first scorers. 

Olympiacos started with a victory against Padova in the preliminary round of Euroleague held in Piraeus. It was a balanced and exciting game but finally, Olympiacos took the three points winning 10-7. On Saturday, the ‘’Reds’’ face Uralotcka for the second game of the group.

Olympiacos won Lokomotiv Baku 3-0 easily at ‘’M.Merkouri’’ making the first step for the qualification to the next round. The players had an excellent performance throughout the game without giving the opportunity to the opponent to react and claim the victory. Now, it has to defend its advantage in the rematch held in Baku (1/2) so as to celebrate the qualification.
